Call for Ushers/Concession Members
Our Playhouse is looking for Ushers/Concession members. We hope you will be able to commit to one evening a play. Your duties are to sell the concessions before and at intermission and to usher.

*The Friends of the APA School provide support for the Academy of Performing Arts School programs, events, productions, costumes and scholarships.
What We Do:
*Frundraising for scholarships, costumes and supporting grant applicaions
*Open House: we purchase dancewear, provide refreshments and help staff the event
* The Friends Boutique has the requuired class attire available year round and your purchase supports our efforts
*We recently participated in Orleans Police Department’s Block Party and spread the word about the APA with a raffle Open House notices and a display
*Shaws Rewards Program
*We have a Friends Boutique & Refreshments table at APA School productions
*We send a representative to the APA School Committee

Volunteer Opportunities
Here’s what you can do…
Please give us a call with your area of interest from the categories listed below.

Administrative: Folding and assembling brochures, inserts, programs, mailings, etc.
Special Events: Food preparation, baking, serving, ticket booth, auctioneer, flowers, decorations, solicit donations
Ushers: Playhouse- 3 Needed per show…. see shows for free!
School- 4 Ushers needed per production
Public Relations: Delivering posters and informational material, 1-2 people needed per town: Orleans, Chatham, Brewster, Eastham, Harwich, Dennis, Wellfleet
Artists: We always need painters, set designers, photographers, videographers, graphic designers, web designers, etc.
Gallery Coordinators: Helping to select and schedule artists exhibiting in our playhouse lobby gallery, assisting with display.
Concession: selling refreshments at the playhouse before performances and during intermission. Clean up coffee and refreshment area.
Facilities and Grounds: Cleaning (Interior projects), Painting (interior and exterior), yard work (Spring/Fall cleanups) and repairs. We always need electriaicans, plumbers, charpenters, etc.
